Welcome to the Ham Radio Advisors Web Site.

We are still working on the Web Site.

As of this posting, the Web Site works fine with the System Access Software. We have members who are testing the Site to see how well it works with JAWS for Windows. We are waiting on reports from members who may be using WindowEyes.

We are still adding sections, modules and add-ons to make the site even better than it is. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to e-mail them to the Administrator or the Webmaster.

Ham Radio News from around the World: WORLD EXPO 2008 ZARAGOZA, SPAIN

Starting from its general Open Ceremony on June 14 till its closure on September 15th, WORLD EXPO will be held this year in the beatiful city of Zaragoza in North Eastern Spain (EA2). Accordingly, Special event ham radio stations located within the Exhibition facilities will be active during this period. 

General call sign running out while Expo will  be AO2008EXPO. Also and during the dates in which HM King Juan Carlos I (EA0JC) or any other member of the royal family visit the WORLD EXPO, station AO0EXPO will be active. And finally on other special ocassions along the Expo period, the station EH2O will be on the air.

All stations belonging to Aragón Comunity (provinces of Zaragoza, Teruel or Huesca) could use during Exhibition period special prefixes such as AO08,AM08 and AN08 + their own suffixes.

The rest of Spanish stations EA, EB or EC could accordingly use prefixes AO,AN and AM respectively + their own suffixes.

I invite you all to visit EXPO 2008 in Zaragoza and obviously look forward to meeting you on the air soon.

VK9X Christmas Island Dx-pedition

A Dx-pedition to Christmas Island (#66 on most wanted list) has recently been announced, taking place from July 8-20.

Operators will be CT1BWW (marq), EA3GHZ (Juan Carlos), EA5EOR (Enrique) and EC5BME (Dina). They'll try to be active 24 hrs covering all bands from 160 to 10 meters as well as 6 metres on CW, SSB and MGM.
